Glenlee – 132KV Civils & Balance of Plant
The works at Glenlee form part of the Kendoon to Glenlee Reinforcement, which includes the extension of the 132kV network in south west Scotland.
The RIIO‐T1 shunt reactor modernisation programme has identified the need to replace the
existing oil filled shunt reactors (R1 & R2) at Smeaton 400/275/132kV substation. The new
Shunt Reactors will have nominal capacity rating of 60MVAr.
